Had to go for a takeaway due to covid restrictions. The stew and dumplings were absolutely wonderful and well worth the price! We try to go whenever we are in the area. If I lived closer this would happily be my favourite watering hole. The food is always high quality and service is high class.

A great little gem, superb service (staff are very chatty and welcoming) and the Sunday roasts are incredibly satisfying - even cater for gluten intolerance people!

What a lovely back street boozer. Such a shame that due to the restrictions they probably can't cover the cost of opening. Fab small walled garden at the back. Altogether an exceptionally atmospheric pub which is immaculate and has all covid deterants in place. I understand that the home cooked food served before the lockdown was excellent as was the take away food and ale. Good luck to the current proprietors, try to keep it going. X

Cheltenham 0 Argyle 1....yeah! What better place to celebrate than in a real ale pub. It seemed half the crowd knew about this place too!! I had a pint, or two of Proper cracker.....and some peanuts and very nice it was too. Excellent atmosphere, fans from both clubs mingling and talking football. No teles, no music, no food........just an old fashioned pub.....perfect .....Oh, and guitars, banjos and ukeleles hanging on the wall....apparently they have locals that pop in and play , sing and entertain on certain nights.....cool
