What an excellent local boozer. Great beers, fantastic atmosphere and free food on when we were in. Pool room at the back and a lovely beer garden/yard. Definitely had the feeling of a great community hub.

Cozy pub with a pool room, piano room, bar area, sports on TV and a fabulous covered patio area. Clean and well decorated, staff are friendly and there is a good selection of tap beers. Special beer festival events are held here periodically. Great place to go to pub if it's raining for smokers. Recommended.
Used to com in a lot but not so much nw. Went to beer festival and my glass has some make up on it. I had to wait 4 tthem to finish their conversation before being served. Not much choice of ale. This pub used to be a gem. What happened? Even sun is better than this pub now.
