Even though we just had a coffee each which wasn't all that great but I do appreciate that they were maintaining social distance whilst handling long queue of people waiting to order take aways. All cards payment accepted and no cash dealings. Loved the location along with the calmness and beauty of the surroundings.

Pre-booked table for Sunday lunch. Our beef was delicious, it just melted in the mouth. The beer battered cod loin and chips was very good too and really fresh. Dog friendly, which is great and they have a lovely garden. Staff were very welcoming and the service was very good. Quick and efficient.

Ate from the Jolly Farmer last night. Good range of specials, all delivered to our home. Chose the Grilled Haloumi with Mediterranean vegetables and the Truffle Risotto. Both were very good and delivered with a smile.

Staying in Cookham recently so i decided to try The Jolly Farmer for drinks and dinner. Friendly greeting and ordered a drink. There were a few people in the place but still plenty of tables available so no problem finding somewhere to sit to eat. Extensive food menu, plus specials and pizzas cooked in their wood fired oven. Spoilt for choice and initially difficult to choose what to have. I decided to order a Napoli pizza. Food was served promptly after ordering and great presentation, generous size too with 8 pieces. Pizza was cooked perfectly, crispy base, gooey cheese and salty anchovies and capers with the addition of fresh oregano. Absolutely delicious but just one slice too much for me! I really liked this friendly and cosy pub, food was fabulous and the service was very good too.

Oh I wish I could say it was good. Nice people but dire, expensive food. What a pity.
