My wife and I came here for afternoon tea to celebrate our wedding anniversary. They were able to put on a vegan version for her after giving an hours notice, hers included a selection of sandwiches, 2 vegan scones and 2 chocolate cakes which she thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were very polite, friendly and looked after us superbly. Dogs are allowed in which was a big plus for us too, overall we had a lovely afternoon so thank you

Great little pub with tons of character, the food was delicious and the waiter was a real character. The toilets were clean which is a real bonus

Lovely menu. Great choice for meat lovers and vegetarians. Best to book as they do get busy. Pub set in stunning surroundings. Highly recommend.
A nice little pub for a decent lunch! The beer tap selection leaves a little to be desired- not a particularly inspired choice and a number of the boring mass produced rubbish which feels a little incongruous against the good lunch- would be good if they could have a rethink and get some interesting drops lined up. The food was nicely done though- delicious, juicy scallops to start with a mint pea purée and then probably the best steak and kidney pudding I’ve had for main course- delicious. Disappointing cheese board though- Brie that wasn’t ripe enough and lacked flavour (and which also tasted like it had just been served straight from the fridge), a so-so Stilton and then, most disappointing of all, a tasteless *mild* cheddar. Would definitely go again though and would recommend certain aspects of the meal highly.
