Its a massive improvement from what once was the Kings Seat. The staff are pretty attentive, the decor ect is really decent, generally just a pretty nice environment to be in. I've been in twice now so from that: The Fishcakes are pretty good, although you get a lot of salad so they look really small even though they are actually a good size for a starter. The Haggis and Black Pudding Medallions were tasty but a little basic. The Seafood Risotto was excellent, very tasty and skillfully made. The Macaroni Chese was pretty underwhelming. I also had a hot chocolate which was nice but more milky than chocolaty. The prices were pretty much standard - not super cheap or expensive.

My husband and I had dinner here on the first Saturday of opening. The food, ambience and service were superb. The decor is charming and offers a cosy, but elegant dining experience. Highly recommended. We will be visiting again soon!
