A really good meal, accompanied by well kept beer. All food was top quality and in generous portions. I have a good appetite but the soup, followed by roast beef was more than enough - no dessert required! Very pleasant surroundings and very friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic meal with great service. My steak was cooked to perfection. Good selection of beers on tap and a great gin selection. This was our second visit and we will definitely be back soon. Thanks

Very good! First visit today for lunch with business colleagues. Beautiful interior, staff were very professional and attentive. I was exceptionally pleased to see the maitre D from the Windmill as he is, in my opinion, the most professional waiting staff I have ever encountered in this country. The food was great and not a be prompt but unrushed service. Views from the rear are beyond comparable in this country. The only down side for me, when considering a return visit with my family, is a lack of dedicated children's menu. The menu itself is superb and they do half portions for children, however a few additional items on there would it much more accessible for family's in my opinion. It may just be me, but as hard as I try my children are not going to eat a Reuben Sandwich, Moules Mariniere or crab linguine. The only thing I think would be in option would be the haddock goujons. Indeed this is what I observed every child in the restaurant eating. Sadly for me my children have recently decided they don't like fish!! As these latter comments are my own issues and observations, that may or may not be applicable to other families, I have not reduced a 5 star score. Maybe just something for the Chef and owners to consider when next updating the menu.

So far all good, excellent house burger, and a great pint of beaver town, neck oil. I am only knocking off one star because this is not the cheapest pub in the area. But the view is stunning. Dog and walkers friendly.

This an excellent pub! We had a delicious 2 course meal on Saturday evening. The staff could not be more helpful or welcoming to us & Roger the dog! The chap in the Specs behind the bar & the lady that came on shift mid way through our meal were an absolute delight, the younger staff too were also a credit to the place with impeccable service. Can’t rate it highly enough!
