Booked table for lunch due to covid restrictions, very accommodating. Sat outside as weather lovely. Had cycled there. Food was so good, 4 people enjoyed a meat platter, fish platter, burger and toasted panini. Hand cut chips are lovely. Recommend, great pitstop when on cycle track to or from Bath.

What a great pub. Great service, very attentive and delicious food. We had the duck and the strudel, the sticky toffee pudding and Marshfield ice cream which always delivers!

Great location on the two tunnels cycle path and rich in railway history. Attractive interior and outside seating area. Menu and range of Real Ales (my obsession ) are OK but not outstanding and service can be a little hit and miss, but always friendly. Well worth a visit (and a re-visit).

We visited today after finding this on the app pub walks. We had a lovely 3 mile walk in the country before finishing for some lunch at 'The Hope & Anchor'. Food was nice, service was good and overall a good location/pub for walkers/cyclists.

Stopped here for a bite to eat before doing the two tunnels. We reserved a table but it wasn't too busy so probably could be got a seat anyway. This is a nice cosy pub with a real log fire and plenty of seating. There was an excellent choice of food and it was delivered quickly and presented well. The food was all good the was a few of us and everyone enjoyed the food. It was a bit pricey... But other than that no complaints. After we did our walk we stopped back in for a hot chocolate and a suit by the fire. Overall recommended - good service, good food and a great location if you're cycling or walking. (Although there is a car park if you are doing neither)
