Amazing food, beautiful attentive staff who are very friendly. HIGHLY recommend this place (although now thinking may not be able to get a seat in the future as everyone will be going there). Pics are only of dessert as too busy eating starter and main forgot to take snaps, VERY good portions.

Finally made it here after looking forward to it for a while post lockdown. Beautiful setting as always. However how disappointed we were with the service. After being told it was table service and leaving our details at the bar, it took a further 40 minutes to have our order taken. We only popped in for a birthday drink. The waitresses were in and out of the garden several times but no one acknowledged us. Our order was finally taken after flagging down one of the waitresses. Surely after 40 minutes there comes a time where serving customers takes priority over clearing glasses from empty tables? Once ordered, it took a further 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive, but which point, now an hour later, it was raining. Not to mention diet coke being served from a can. I may as well have got one from the fridge at home which would've saved a good hour and cost a fraction of the price. I appreciate there are restrictions at this time and things are not running normally. However, to take so long to take an order and then even longer to bring the order out, with no apology, is pretty abismal! Having said that, it's our local. So I will probably return at some point. Just hope we get served a bit quicker next time!

Terrific food. Has a large marqee for outside dining. Modern warm interior. Lots of parking available.

The tastiest home made pies I have had in a long time. Great food and great service. Wonderful log burner fire, cosy and comfortable. Will definitely be back

Came here in January for my Mum and Aunts birthday. Even though we were hung over from NYE we still really enjoyed the meal and the ambience and everyone including the unhung-over enjoyed their food. Seems very dog friendly and has a lovely beer garden and a massive car park which I believe is an overflow for the Henry Moore Foundation over the road.
