Visited Holt Fleet for lunch today. I had Sunday lunch which was in the main very good, served on a hot plate with good selection of fresh vegetables. My only criticism is the beef was on the carvery cooked well done. I like mine medium rare at most, this was not an option. I therefore had pork which was plentiful. My two children had the burger. Both demolished in quick time. They each had the Belgian Waffle for dessert. The total bill including drinks came to 58 which represented good value for money. I had never eaten here before and will certainly return. Finally, the service was excellent.

A really beautiful eaterie on the river bank. Located in a stunning setting, this imposing hotel/restaurant has an impeccable interior, lovely riverside garden area, polite, professional staff and food of the highest order. The battered cod was simply delicious, with lovely creamy mushy peas and tasty thick cut chips. The hunters chicken is generous, with lashings of chicken, bacon and cheese all smothered in a perfectly balanced sauce and a side of fresh baby potatoes with crispy, fresh salad. To finish off we had a divine strawberry meringue sundae which was mouthwatering and scrumptious. All this plus two soft drinks for a tad over 40 pounds. Highly recommended.
I have visited the Holt Fleet many times over the years for work and pleasure. Always greeted with a warm smile from the staff. The food is always good (I Highley recommend the carvery!) Well done to Sue and the team for all their hard work last year. They have adapted so well to the challenging times the hospitality industry have faced.
Excellent establishment, well organized with the correct virus required restrictions in place. I had a first class lunch from an excellent menu. Service also first class and friendly. A visit that will be repeated if no further restrictions are put in place.
Great service, lovely food and we love the pods. It was a birthday meal out for my dad and his first outing since shielding was relaxed, felt very safe in the pod and the servers were very attentive thank you. We will definitely be back, maybe when it's not quite so sunny though, we melted a little bit, but it's just as hot anywhere I'm sure :) x
