I don't know how to not make this sound silly, but the slow roasted pork belly with crackling that I have just been served here at The Holly Tree is without doubt the BEST PLATE OF FOOD THAT I HAVE EVER EATEN! Every element of the roast was beyond outstanding, from flavour to texture. I can't even find the words. Everyone has had a meal in their life that stands out as being their best experience with food, and this is going to be mine for a long time!

An excellent steak dinner and a good bottle of kiwi sav - what more could you ask for. Steak well cooked and seasoned. Chips, crunchy. And even some delightful extras, like a fried mushroom and a baked tomato - with cheese!
Great pub! Has nice locals who me and my girlfriend got talking too, would definitely go back!
We first came here five years ago. Visited again for the second time today for another anniversary trip, didn't disappoint at all! The pork belly ramen was AMAZING (couldn't finish it as the portion was epic but the flavours were wonderful) , service top quality, mrs enjoyed her food very much also. Worth the long drive! Great value, beautiful place, nice and cosy (and safe). Credit to the servers being so friendly and helpful.
Very nice pub. I was staying at the Hilton nearby, went for a walk and found this nice village pub. Nice outside seating
