Always come here for drinks and food it is a really great pub which has a cobbled floor in the bar area and little nooks and crannies to sit in which really add to the old age of the pub. There us usually a good choice of Ales to drink Ferryman by Exeter Brewery was a gorgeous drink on today's visit. We had food too as is the norm when we go and as always the quality of food was excellent and good value too for what you get. Prawn cocktail was very tasty really fresh prawns. The chips were excellent very hot and tasty triple cooked. The cod has skin on the bottom and the fish and batter was very tasty. The Lemon Sole very good too. Probably could have done with a few more prawns in the Garlic Prawns though. There were a group of undesirable on the table near us who you knew were gonna kick off and argue the bill and stuff, they did not disappoint in that though they were totally unjustified in their made up complaints .... staff were excellent (especially the bar manager Lauren) in the face of such hostility. This is a bar restaurant that absolutely deserves to be visited and I highly recommend the food and atmosphere here.

Amazing service thanks so much. Really enjoyed our meals, nothing special but the chips were hot and fresh and chunky. Everything done really well and good value for money thanks a lot

Went there for a drink, lovely atmosphere and very characterful inside. Staff were friendly, plenty of drink options available and food very tasty. Will definitely return!
Really lovely little traditional pub. Much nicer than the bars nearby. Very friendly staff. Food was really good too. I needed gluten free food and they were happy to check with the chef on what I could eat. Fish of the day was amazing!
