My wife & I enjoyed a fantastic takeaway from the Hole in the Wall on Saturday night. The food was just like we were in the pub restaurant. We had 6 chicken wings to start & the home made batter was delicious. I chose surf & turf for main which was cooked to perfection. My wife chose pulled pork burger which was a home made beef patty with pulled pork on the top - delicious. The pub rang as soon as I booked our order online to check how I wanted my steak cooked. Wonderful food with wonderful service - please support this amazing pub :)

The Lamb steak special, fresh pork scratchings (pic below) and chicken wings with honey mustard. They were absolutely fan-tas-tic. And the waiter and waitress earnt their tips. Also there were horses nearby (the little one is moody) and a regular customers dog that made this a 6 star review. Great atmosphere and I'll be going there again. Thank you.
We enjoyed our lunch there today, 6 of us had a lovely meal. It was the first time we had eaten at The Hole in The Wall so not really sure what to expect. The food was way better than most small pub restaurants with subtle flavours and good cuts of meat. Duck breast was just the right tenderness and the vegetables were well flavoured and cooked perfectly. The service was good and the price was about right. Thank you Chris We will definitely return!
Went to this restaurant in March just before my shielding started due to Covid19. Went back last night (26th August) but although food was really good as usual we were disappointed with the precautions against Covid19. Separate way in and exit. Hand sanitizer on way in. Great. Staff were not wearing masks or face shields. There was no social distancing between the tables. They were as close together as usual and they were filling them all up. I found the whole thing a bit worrying. I know they really need the business after all this time but hoping that this review may make them look a bit closer into what they need to do.
New chef doesn’t disappoint- we had a lovely three course meal this evening! Front of house service was friendly, prompt and efficient. Menu choices, portion sizes, ingredients were all fantastic. Really enjoyable dinner. Will be back at a weekend next time!
