Very nice, local village gastro pub. Lovely menu and still full of flavour and variety post COVID lockdown and with very workable social distancing measures in place. We had: patè, chicken strips and garlic ciabatta as starters. Sirloin steak, gammon, southern fried chicken burger and a prime beef burger as mains. All cooked superbly and tasted fantastic.

Great cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and the food & service great! Good Covid 19 safety precautions in place. Can't fault it.
Great place to have a meal after a walk down from the old hall. Fantastic staff and a really nice menu with some interesting combinations, such as the black pudding burger. Good roast dinners to.
Lovely meal on bank holiday Monday...excellent food and social distancing all perfectly organised
What is it like now? Uh well, you see it's closed because we're in tier 3
