Looked online for vegan eatery and was not disappointed to end up here at The Herbarium in Lancaster. Polite and friendly staff, comfortable surroundings and delicious food. We did over indulge but won’t eat until this evening now! Highly recommend for all palettes.

More shabby than shabby chic - still with a lot of work to do to become the concept that it aspires to, but this pleasant vegan cafe is just what it says it is. A great coffee with oat milk, and lovely lemon drizzle cake. I did have to wait about 10 minutes to be served as the young staff were having a chat somewhere out the back. Access for people with limited mobility is limited by the only way in (at least at the front) being up steps.
100% vegan, everything we tried was delicious. All fresh, local produce. Very friendly staff. Aesthetic interior. Our favourite dishes were the mushroom cheese toasty and the vegan breakfast. So worth a visit. N.B. they're not currently answering their phone line because of limited staffing but are still open weds-sunday. Check out their FB page for updates. ️
Recommended! We truly enjoyed our first visit to this café. The menu was quite interesting and varied. Thoroughly enjoyed their big breakfast, whose components seemed almost all to be homemade. Looking forward to being able to return post-lockdown on our next visit to Lancaster.
Delicious vegan food - fine price and really nice staff. I really like the style of the cafe, slightly undone but in a fashionable way? Anyways, I would highly recommend every single one of their dishes because they're all delicious.
