This is a \local\ pub, absolutely wonderful! The Boss is a Labrador. Good selection of kegs on offer along with a small selection of well chosen casks. The staff (including said Labrador) are lovely. There's a pool table for the sporty types and plenty of screens for those that recognise sporty types. A great place to go for a bevvy.

Nice patio, with plenty of room and tables. The fish and chips is good (ok, very good, but not outstanding either), the service was quick, the staff friendly. The menu would deserve a few more mains, or maybe some more sophisticated meals. This is not a gastro pub as at whrn this review is written, but nicely located in a quiet area, which is a plus.

Nice roasts, but 6.50 a pint is extortionate. How can anyone justify that price? Edit: Changed from 3 to 2 stars as the beers cost way too much for a pub. Got cheaper beers in Sweden.
Spacious beer garden, good selection of food and attentive staff. Good place for a relaxing evening drink with some grub.
