Although the convenience of the Hartley Arms recommends it for anyone travelling along the Shropshire Canal, it would be worth seeking out anyway. Even in these strange times, a warm and friendly welcome to a pub with great character and atmosphere. Both food and beer first rate and reasonably priced. They even have their own pizza oven which produces really tasty results and the steaks from the local butcher are superb. Save room for a pud too.

I was looking to meet a friend somewhere between where we both live Found the Harley Arms on Google and it seemed to be ideal Good was lovely we both had a hot roast pork sandwich and chips and both really enjoyed the meal. Home cooked chips were yummy and it was proper pork cut from a roasting joint not some wafer thin out of a packet stuff Music was a little on the loud side but not enough so we had to shout to make ourselves heard and for a Thursday lunchtime the pub was pretty full Needless to say next time we get together this will be our destination

Called Last minute but Andrew managed to fit us in to collect 3 roast dinners and 2 apple pies. Wow!!! Absolutely beautiful and for a roast that's served in takeaway trays it was presented lovely and the gravy was to die for. Very friendly staff would Highly recommend.

Lovely friendly staff. A great place especially if you're in your senior years, where nice music is playing, not to loudly. Plenty of outside seating, many of which, over looks the canal. A charming spot.
