Congratulations on such a special place! We stayed overnight without a dinner reservation but managed to sample the breakfast which was lovely. The room was warm and cosy, beautifully decorated with just the right amount of festive touches. Some amazing little touches such as the milk and cookies hamper when we arrived back from our dinner in the town. Would highly recommend for a romantic getaway, the town of Marlow is also nice to take a stroll down and along the river. Highly recommended, we will certainly be booking again in the New Year!

I looked forward to this place for a long time but was left disappointed. The presentation of the food could not be faulted but the flavours did not live up to expectations. Service was ok, but below what I would expect for a 2 star establishment. The main issue was the pricing. Not sure how they can charge the prices they do for the food they serve.

We have been wanting to come here for years, finally managed to book it in January then faced a long wait for our August date. Was it worth the wait? 100% it was. Impeccable service (special mention to Ollie who looked after us well) He even managed to get us a few cocktails made that weren't on the menu and brought out to us exactly when we asked for them. The food, of course, was exceptional. Flavours complimented each other perfectly. Rich, punchy tasty food. Every mouthful was fantastic. Perfectly seasoned Didn't want to leave. The Barbary room we stayed in was perfect too. Very comfy bed and amazing deep bath. Treat yourself. We will do again

Excellent service and delicious food in a cute village pub. Everything was cooked perfectly as you would expect from a 2 Michelin star restaurant. White bait at the start was a nice touch. I must admit I wasn't excited about ordering from the menu and when the food arrived I enjoyed it but there was no intrigue or elation. If you're looking for delicious traditional dishes this is the place for you... but if you enjoy trying new things and experiences then maybe not.
