Thoroughly recommend this beautiful pub! Food is exquisite, the atmosphere is amazing. Nice, traditional, warm pub. A fantastic garden for children to play in and very dog friendly! The small details makes this pub stand out.
Great pub. We did a circular 5.5 mile walk from the pub and ended afternoon sharing a ploughman's in the garden. Nothing was too much trouble and staff were friendly and attentive without being over the top. Great management of the pandemic restrictions which felt organised and safe.
Have been visiting this pub for 30 years so a bit biased but.... ....still as wonderful as always. In these strange COVID times the arrangements are efficient and still provide a friendly atmosphere. Beer is always an interesting selection and excellent quality.
Charming country pub off the beaten path. A friend suggested meeting for a pint. I was a bit dubious at finding the pub, especially at night, but it was an easy drive off the B3035, as long as you don't mind single-track roads with passing places. That said, it is well worth a visit. There are two halves to the pub like many pubs used to have. The main dining room was crowded and this was a Wednesday evening. There is a good variety of ales on offer. I loved the decor including two working old-fashioned clocks, one of which chimes. In keeping with the name, there were several bows on display. The barmaid was friendly and cheerful. I'll definitely be going back.
