A well maintained, cosy village pub near Ditchling Beacon. Stopped here after a walk from Hassocks so the food, whilst not mind blowing, certainly hit the spot. Service was a little chaotic and slow, but exceedingly friendly. Would be a lovely place to while away a summers afternoon

This was a very welcome brake from the city!! Gorgeous Food!! Really so good, traditional vibes and a beautiful open fire! Good selection of beers, would highly suggest trying the Pie of the day, lovely garden and kids area & loads of parking!! Haha f you are looking for a quick country walk and pub lunch this pub will tick all the boxes!
Lovely little pub with big car park (and play area nearby) and a warm and professional welcome. Efficient service and an excellent traditional Sunday roast. Veggie option good and filling too. Prices reasonable but certainly not cheap. Gets busy, especially with walkers, so book ahead. Recommended.
This was a nice little pub lunch stop on a walk between Hassocks and Lewes. The food was good, but not incredible. The service was a little disorganised. The one way system for covid was not too well implemented. All in all a pleasant but not outstanding experience.
