I've been here now a couple of times and each time has been fantastic. There is nothing I could fault at all. Food was gorgeous. All of us enjoyed it. Environment is clean and well maintained and staff are friendly. I had fish on this occasion and it was very white and fresh. Chips were perfectly cooked being crispy on outside and fluffy in the middle. I will definitely be back again for a third, fourth and fifth etc time!

Allow dogs in which is the most important thing for us. Excellent place to stop after a long walk on the dale. Well done to the new owners
The pub itself is nice but I wouldn't say it is for a younger customer. The food was ok and service was good.
Great food at a reasonable price. David, Stephen and his staff are very friendly and helpful and in these difficult times are ensuring social distancing rules are adhered to. Number of tables have been reduced to reflect this and there is a very nice outdoor garden at the rear to use. Food is well prepared and appealing and service is quick. Some drinks can be on the expensive side but overall this is a fabulous pub to go havs a meal or just a drink outside of meal times. It is popular with locals so booking is essential to ensure you get a table. Always a good sign when looking for somewhere to eat.
Very nice meal tonight although 10oz gammon a bit to much for me .but that said it was lovely. My husband had steak and ale pie and enjoyed every bit of it .very nice staff as well so thank you we will definitely be back
