2 stars for the chips and bubble and squeak. This is not my first visit so it was a return on a road trip down to Old Devon Town. Breakfast was kinda filling but the catering sausages were very tough and tasteless. Bacon was nice. Beans were ok, fried egg wasn’t runny though :( Toast was perfectly cooked but the butter was a bit sweet as if it had turned. But what got our goat was another patron arriving through the side door, leaving it open and then not letting us close it to “keep a draught running through”. If I wanted to eat in the cold I would have had my breakfast in the car park. I moved over from the door to the window but it was still draughty. File under disappointing.

Breakfast filled a gap - good value, big portions with loads of toast! Really friendly staff. Local produce on sale too (jams, preserves) and fresh homemade cakes. Added bonus of being dog friendly which was very useful with the British weather!
