I was surprised from the high quality taste and quality of the burgers and fries we had. This place definitely is a great alternative for vegans that want to taste In n Out style burgers and animal style fries. Their animal style fries blows In n Outs out the water. Yes it is a bit pricey, but it is definitely a good alternative for vegans. And this is coming from a full time carnivore
This is the newest storefront of The Habit, which already has nearby locations at 7th/Fig and near USC. This location provided quick service (less than 10 minutes when ordering from the app) and the dining room was very clean. Here you get great quality for the low price (around 4-5 for a simple burger). Made to order, including a perfectly toasty bun (crunchy edges!). My only beef with The Habit is that the meat patty tastes mainly like salt. It's not as tasty as the pricier Shake Shack, but the portion is much larger and a better value. Also, In-N-Out is tastier but In-N-Out patties are half the thickness, whereas The Habit gives you a meat patty that isn't skimping out. The ingredients are fresh and I like that I can add extra tomato, lettuce, etc quickly and easily from the self-serve kiosks in front of the registers so I don't have to ask the humans to customize my burger. I love that I don't have to decide between onion rings and fries. They offer both of them combined into one side. I'll definitely be back, but maybe ask them not to salt the burger when they're grilling it. Tip: download and order from the app, and your first order gives you a free burger valued at nearly 5!
Their shakes are really good but the burger was just ok. I'll stick with the shakes!
Very good burgers and fries! Love the garlic herbs fries they have right now (they are seasonal)
