Just visited for 2 takeaway coffees. Lady serving was so nice. Allowed us to bring our dog inside while we waited. I was telling her that our dog loves licking the lids with the frothy milk so she gave him a small cup of his own frothy milk. Just had to share. It was such a lovely gesture. We will definitely go back. Thank You.

The food is consistently really good in the Grumpy chef. I've had cooked breakfasts and fancy pasta dishes and all are really flavoursome. Their cocktails are freshly prepared too! They've also renovated the restaurant to put in a little bar. It's looking great - can't wait until we're allowed to sit up there once C19 has passed.
Glad the chippy was closed and we ordered takeaway here instead! Fab fish burger (seabass) and pulled pork burger, chips & onion bhaji. Friendly service too (grumpy chef, happy service!)
Absolutely perfect! I would say one of the best culinary experiences we had by far. From the top mark customer service and hospitality skills to fresh, tasty and homemade food. The food which is absolutely delicious. We have visited The Grumpy Chef two times once during breakfast and once during lunch time. This place is always vibrant and full of life with many costumers but the staff have managed to accommodate us. If you have to wait a few moments for a table don’t hesitate- it’s definitely worth it. We will definitely come back especially to try their dinner menu as it’s open on Fridays and Saturday until 11 pm.
Excellent service was the first impression, well mannered, friendly and fast. The grumpy chef doesn’t look exactly like a restaurant, it has a cross over from day to night as a breakfast cafe to bistro, but don’t let that put you off, the breakfast is cracking and the dinner was really well cooked. These guys are proud of their locally sourced produce and you can taste the freshness and quality.
