A bit of a drama on arrival, we did the NHS app usually enough for everywhere but then wanted our name and phone number. We asked for a table for two. As we hadn't booked, he appeared to make it look like he was struggling to fit us in, the restaurant was quiet and was even quieter later when we left. Once we sat down the service was good and the meals ample portions. Although the waitresses appeared to all disappear at the same time when it came to get the bill.
Generally this place is fine and my review is based on a visit during a very busy service. It didn't take long to get seated and the place was clean as far as I could see. There is a reassuring one way system and the staff adhere to a good degree of distancing. I had to order my drinks twice because they didn't arrive the first time. I ordered chunky fries and got skinny, didn't matter too much because it was nice. The food was good quality and the price was reasonable. I did try to call and reserve a menu item to ensure it would be available, I was told on the phone that it wasn't possible and they would see what they can do. On this occasion there could have been improvements to my experience but I'm sure they are usually really good considering the cleanliness and food quality.
We came here out of the blue after spotting it across the road from Tesco. We were so hungry we didn't want to wait to cook at home. We are so glad we came! The waiting staff were really humourous, friendly and very knowledgeable about food options and allogies. Sadly the halloumi and onion rings weren't vegatarian as they are fried in the meat oils but ensured no gluten contamination to the chips! So all in all it's understandable and there are still other vegi options to choose from! This setback didn't affect our visit however. Both of us wolfed down the tasty food and enjoyed the unlimited chips. The chef's did a great job and we found it really nice that we could see into the kitchen. The venue has a really nice modern vibe with lots of space and comfortable seats. There's lots of parking at the back but make sure you go off the roundabout towards the racetrack to find it. Brilliant experience!
We had a great meal here. Staff are friendly and attentive. We felt safe here as all the guidelines were being followed. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our food came quickly and it was tasty. Be back soon.
