I came a couple of weeks ago with my partner and friends on the pub’s first day open since the COVID-19 lockdown. We were initially hesitant about returning to the pub, but we were pleasantly surprised as soon as we went through the front door. We were greeted by a member of the staff straight away and they took us through all the information that we needed to know and showed us to the table. The service was great by all members of staff and we had a great night. Highly recommended for anyone in Brighton who are looking to go for a couple of drinks and something to eat.

Outstanding food, great beer, friendly staff and relaxed vibe, right by the station.. we had the thyme roasted chicken warm salad signature dish and it was amazing! . ..would be 5 stars but the Gents is badly needing attention
Popped as I had missed my train and had time to kill; was not disappointed. Ordered the buttermilk chicken burger which was faultless. Also tried the mango IPA which was also great. Good measures in place for \corona times\ despite most people not bothering to read the sign at the door and walking straight in Would deffo come again next time I come to Brighton
Good sized venue improved by the lack of giant tv screens showing sport. Didn't get a chance to try the food (my fault not theirs) so have only given 4 stars. So far.
Good food, nice atmosphere. Dreadful place to get into for djs in the nightingale room upstairs.... Handy to know if you're booking one. Once You've skinned your knuckles getting the gear in, it's we'll set up with a small, in-house pa for soloists and duos etc. And a large mixing desk and lighting control.
