Visited for a quick lunch today and the experience was average. The food was average but I appreciate they're using local produce which is positive. The service is ok and the place is pretty busy which is always good to see.

Great public house within a great little town. I would highly recommend a stop here for a pint and a bite to eat. Great selection of drinks on offer!! Staff were friendly and polite also. Would definitely visit again when back within the area

Pub is great that serves amazing IPA you must try. Food is good with big portions and excellent value. Service is outstanding. Definitely return here to eat and drink.
After walking by the night before and smelling how good everything smelled we booked for the following night and had an amazing meal. We sat right by where the food gets picked up which is my fav because I love to pick after seeing things come out. Lasagna is was and omg it was cheesy and yummy. We loved it so much we came back the following night and I had what I can only describe as the best burger of my life. I'm usually not a huge fan of a ciabatta bun with a burger but it just worked. The patty was seasoned wonderfully and I can't recommend it enough. This spot is a must if you're staying in the Lake District. If only it was closer to Brighton lol.
