Received very mixed service from the larger chains, my wife suggested visiting the Fish Bowl which she used to visit as a small child. All the staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and proper enthusiasts. I spent time choosing the hardscape with a lot of help from the team (especially with substrates), then a week on had a long discussion as to which plants would be suitable for my setup. They even stayed 20 minutes after closing, it took me longer to choose the plants than I anticipated, without any fuss. Barry does a great job of appointing the right member of the team to assist depending on their expertise. I don't know if the Goldfish Bowl is more expensive than their competitors (some reviewers think so) but I would rather pay a little more knowing that I am going to receive great service, well maintained livestock & plants, and I also understand that having a high level of stock must be expensive to carry, though it does mean that customers will be spoilt for choice. Thanks to the help and assistance I have received from the Goldfish Bowl I have a fish tank that I am very pleased with and cannot wait to buy some Keyhole Cichlids when my filter is a little more established!!

I have spoken to staff at the Goldfish Bowl on the phone on several occasions and have visited the store in person. All the staff have been extremely helpful and given excellent advice. Barry, in particular, is very knowledgeable and has gone out of his way to help me and my son. I guarantee that you will not get better service anywhere else.
Super awesome team, very knowledgeable and have the fishes interests at heart. Made a mistake going to a local petshop, who gave me terrible advice. So went to goldfish bowl for help and that's what I got advice, support and guidance. Best fish shop ever.. Will never go anywhere else!!
