First time I’ve been to The Golden Pond but it won’t be the last. I’ve driven past it loads of times and to be honest it does look like it could do with lick of paint outside but seeing as I’m going inside to eat it’s not an issue. I only really mentioned it so it doesn’t put you off and you miss out on this hidden gem. Very friendly staff. We had the buffet for 16.50, plus we went on a Eat Out to Help Out day getting a tenner off each of our meals. I think you normally serve yourself but during the pandemic they give you a menu to choose from and cook it fresh. Every dish was spot on absolutely gorgeous, just typing this review is making me hungry It was a very busy and there was a little wait between courses but you’ll need that wait to let the starters go down and we had 2 lots of starters But do not underestimate the main course. I was stuffed when I came out of there. Would have been about 20 each person which is a great price for the amount and quality of food we had. But with Boris’s discount it was just over 40 quid for 4 people!!!! Will definitely be going back for more even at full price.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to. Food was very tasty and there was a good selection of dishes at an excellent price. Eating in on a Friday was only 16.99 person and we could choose as many dishes as we liked. Good social distancing between tablets too.
I'm the fussiest eater you will meet. Especially with germs etc. I'm very easily put off...the building had me thinking I might sit this one out whilst the rest of the family ate....it was totally the opposite!! If I could give more stars I absolutely would. The food was gorgeous. Loads of it and everyone wanted to go back another day.
