Why 5* simply because they hit the mark consistently well. It might not amazing but what you get it is flawless. It has been so long since last time I was served a burger with fresh meat. That only deserves on its own a 5*. How difficult it could be to serve fresh food you would ask? Apparently extremely difficult according to the numbers of premises proudly offering processed food. As long as they serve fresh meat burger it is a winner.I went there twice to double check because the first time was after their recent re-opening and twice it was as good - I would advise to get the one with Bacon though. It has an edge over the plain one. The list is long but I hope to hear from someone else how the rest of the carte is. You also have car park available and the inside decor is really cute.

Very family friendly! Lovely meal and fantastic service. We’ve been a couple of times during Covid and been really impressed with the set up and service. We were made to feel relaxed and welcome but also safe. Would really recommend this place!
Excellent food in a beautiful pub. The Golden Grove have set up the place up fantastically well to keep serving during the pandemic. Communication about the booking was excellent despite the socialising rules changing before we arrived. I can't praise the management and staff highly enough for the whole experience. The food was superb and the portions enormous! Will be booking again at the earliest opportunity.
Lovely to look at from the outside an inside with a large outdoor area out the back including a play area for children. Staff were really helpful an friendly, food was delicious. Overall a great pub and we only stopped here on our way back from thorpe park.
Impressive, The pan fried chicken was delicious and full of flavour, literally exploded with flavour once in your mouth. Staff here are exceptionally polite and friendly, the pub was a little cold for my liking and parking was challenging. Clearly this place is popular and so there was a slight delay in getting the food but it was very much worth the wait. That aside this is a hidden gem.
