I'd heard about The Golden Chip from my sister. This was the first time I went on a very wet rainy Saturday night. The line outside did not break 2 or 3 people outside and 2 inside. I believe the owner was taking orders, very well organised and getting through the queue as quickly as they could. Now for the food, firstly was very pleased to see they had some veggie options. I bought the veggie burger for my mother and she enjoyed it. I bought a small and large fish and chips. Very pleased as neither were oily. My father said the chips were nice and crispy, he felt there wasn't enough fish though. That was the only negative. Overall the food and service were excellent and I'll definitely be going back to try other food.

Probably the best chippy in West London. Great fish and chips, with a fish of your choice. Very friendly staff who are happy to help whenever.
This is a nice warm and friendly fish and chip restaurant in Hanwell. The food is authentically British. The fish is cooked the way it should be with a nice crispy batter. I also lovevthe extras that they have like the Jamaican patties. I never hesitate to visit them but I know that satisfaction is guaranteed. Highly recommended!
One of the oldest chips shops in Hanwell. Good food and friendly staff. The ques outside speak for themselves.
Having done the rounds of the fish and chips circuit in London and Ealing, I can most definitely recommend The Golden Chip. Not only do they have a decent choice of fresh fish (including Rock which is delicious), their portions are generous, their batter is not stodgy or oily and their service is impeccable.
