I went here today for lunch after dropping my dog off at the groomers, I had the soup of the day which was vegetable soup. This was without a doubt the most delicious soup I have ever eaten. I had the Pan Fried Liver, Bacon and onions with potatoes and seasonal veg, I wanted the feel of mums cooking before I left home. This meal made me realise my mother has no idea how to cook this meal as it was absolutely delicious. 10/10 on the food and I definitely be back next time I drop my pooch off at the groomers.

Forgot to bring our starter, asked if we wanted to eat with main. Roast dinner and prawn cocktail not a good mix. Very poor roast dinner, dry and hard roasties. Offered complimentary desserts, meringue was that hard it couldn't be cut up or bitten into. Splattered sauce and dessert all over trying to cut into it. Other dessert was sponge and custard which was overly cooked in microwave when being heated that the songs was dry and hard at the bottom where it got stick to the plate. The child's sundae was so sour as they had but frozen berries in with the ice cream. The child couldn't eat and nor could the adults as so sour. Also the child was given a fork to eat his ice cream with? Two of the glasses served for our drinks with filthy and asked for straws.

Great portion sizes. Friendly staff. Excellent layout and system in place, but also two lovely wood burning fires keeping it toasty
