Great find! My Wife and I came here as our usual place has gone downhill massively since a change in ownership. We looked at some reviews and thought we would give it a go. It's fantastic, very clean and warm inside. All the staff were really friendly. We hadn't booked but they managed to get us in. It was only 6 for a pint and a pinot which was a bonus. I had a home made soup and then a curry and my wife had a veggie lasagne. All the food was delicious and the chef even asked how it was which was a nice touch. We come to Scotland every year and this will be on our must visit list now. It was the perfect end to a perfect day. Great place.

A great little pub to visit if you're in and around the area or if you've climbed Screel hill. Dog friendly and great food. My husband is celiac and the chef couldn't have been more helpful, he even made a bespoke desert for him. Would definitely return!! We have left a review on our Instagram @spanieldaft too

Don't waste you time here for food. 10 per roast dinner is scandalous, I've seen bigger size portions in a Tesco microwave meal. 2 beef rounds, 4 slices of carrot's 1 table spoon of cabbage 1 frozen Yorkshire pudding 2 roast potatoes 1 new potato and a Teaspoon of Smash potato. Do your self a favour and drive the 30 minutes to the Toby carvery or Tesco's for a microwave dinner The only positives are that the drinks aren't too expensive and building was generally in good upkeep.

Cracking village pub everything possible done to make things safe in these mad times. Spotless toilets very friendly and welcoming staff. Big thank you to the young lady who was looking after the bar while the owners we’re away.
