Great place for a delicious takeaway. A bonus is the ability to order from the full menu rather than just a few selected items as most other restaurants do. We've had 2 deliveries from here and both were delivered piping hot and fit for immediate consumption without needing a blast in the microwave. Just a word of warning: If you order a meal with chips make sure you're really hungry as they are VERY generous with portion sizes. Highly recommended.
I cannot fault the Glencairn. Modest prices & generous portions. Great service. Lovely homely warm atmosphere here. Its my new local.
We'd booked a table after being recommended the pub ( gent at the maritime museum).. We got there a couple of minutes early, however were made to wait about 5 or so minutes. I was having second thoughts about going in.. kids were running riot, it was drizzling (surprise surprise... ). We finally were invited in and got seated. The lovely lady who served us was great with the kids and recommended Vege options. Service was super quick. Food portions were not only large, but super delicious too. We had the Vege enchiladas and baked potatoes. Kids enjoyed the meal too. We spent just under an hour at the pub. Wonderful hearty meals. So pleased we'd continued with the reservation, Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in Dumbarton.
Speedy service, huge food portions and the wait staff are genuinely lovely. Good pub food and really won’t break the bank. The chicken enchilada was fabulous.
