Not very friendly service, we came in at the weekend, quite a large group, and the person serving at the bar was decidedly unwelcoming. Perhaps it was our timing as he was going to eat, but he could not have made us feel more unwanted. Someone else came to serve us, which the first person could have called and explained to us they would hand over service rather than serving us begrudgingly. Observing guidelines we did not sit more than 6 to a table, but he made some terse remark about it. And talking of guidelines, our details were not taken for track and trace and no staff were wearing masks.

Antonia and I passed the most incredible New Years Eve with Brian and his team (Lee included). Brian is at your service at all times. Locals are friendly, fun and welcoming. As an American visitor, I have never felt so loved in a pub like establishment! The spread of quiche, sausages and SNACKS took both my friend and I by surprise! I cannot recommend this pub enough! The only way to live this experience is to go and see for yourself. Try the cloudy cider! Would give ten stars if possible!
