Very nice afternoon in the pub. We ordered cheesy chips for the kids and cold lagers for the adults. Happy to have our dog beside us and a good, friendly vibe. Small toilet and just the one each for males and females. Felt safe with the one Way system. The kids could play safely with the playground equipment and spent a good while feeding the goats. Thanks for having us

Food was okay, sauces were cheap with the mayo like water and ketchup too sweet. But the setting was really good, perfect for families with kids. Goats to pet and feed with a wash station next to it and a play area with plenty to do!

Really friendly staff. Local food. They need local support. Go and have some food and a pint with these lovely people in a traditional pub.

Nice, atmospheric pub that allows dogs to join their owners (and if you have an allergy or are afraid of dogs, don't go here). Can take over an hour to get food on a busy Friday in the month of August, but it was to be expected for that time of the year. The fishcakes I had were lovely as was the banger's n' mash. Our 8-year old could play and feed a few goats in the pub's large garden and have a bit of play with other kids. We would probably not go on a Friday again, with a hungry child waiting a long time for food, which is quite stressful. It being busy, meant some parents took no interest in what their kids were up to and there were some not very nice children in the playground (a local child said it was tourists). It was also very smokey. Two days earlier, when we came for the first time, it was quieter and really nice. Our son was treated well, no hitting by other children, and we enjoyed it very much. Not a huge variety in terms of food, though. The menu was more or less the same as a nearby holiday park, but all in all a convenient pub we would return to. Be aware that parking along the main road through Charmouth, where the pub is situated, during the summer months is virtually impossible. Try walking to it from a car parking area, it's much easier.

A family pub with lawned garden outback and play ground area. Friendly with traditional pub grub. Outside covered area as well as indoors. Set up well for self distancing inside considering the age of the pub. Dogs welcome. Central position in Charmouth. No booking needed. A nice stopping point.
