We recently stayed a week in Chideock & spent a few evenings & Sun lunchtime at The George. The food was excellent with good portions. The atmosphere was friendly with great music (very much in the background), helpful friendly staff & felt safe. One-way directions through the pub & sanitiser available. Being able to walk there from our cottage was great, although getting across the extremely busy road was the only downside. There is a pedestrian crossing further along, nearer the pub. We've been lucky to have enjoyed some fantastic meals over the years & the food at The George will be up there with the best.

The George Inn well and truly over delivered. Amazing food, friendly staff, lovely setting & an amazing pub dog. We went in expecting good things and came out with our best pub experience in a long time. Thoroughly recommended & thank you for a great time
Outstanding country pub with excellent food and a welcoming atmosphere.
For a pub in a small village pub the food was incredible! I can’t rate it high enough and the land lord and lady are so welcoming and friendly, along with their four legged friend Ramsey. We wish them every success. Also very good with their abiding to Covid-19 regulations etc. Can’t rate them high enough, make sure you visit.
Great find whilst on holiday in Dorset. We were looking for pub food after a long drive from London. Booked a table here and we really enjoyed the food! Staff are super friendly too. There is parking behind the pub. Recommend!
