Absolutely fantastic place. Visited a number of times. Asked when booking if they still did Fish night on a Thursday, they had stopped due to lack of demand. They did ask what I was looking for, I had lemon sole there previously which was fantastic. They said they would see what they could arrange. Last night we arrived and low and behold lemon sole was on their specials list, they also remembered I asked about it. The chef came out a couple of times to check that our meal was OK. Amazing place, amazing food, amazing people. We have booked again for 2 weeks time. Thanks

We popped in for a reconensience visit for an upcoming birthday event, plenty of parking, but the moment we entered we were very warmly welcomed by the young staff, very friendly. We decided to have a pint and a sandwich as the kitchen was due to close at 4.00. The atmosphere was welcoming and the restaurant are was still very busy with a range of people, from children to pensioners. Our sandwiches were excellent, generous portions and homemade. Thank you to the staff this pub is definitely high on our list for our event, however we decide we'll be going back again.
This is a special place. Set in a quintessential Sussex village with walks to Arundel and Amberley; it deserves an outstanding meeting and eating place. The George delivers. Staff look as if they stepped out of a music video. Atmosphere well judged. Most importantly the food, pretty much a standard Sunday lunch choice, was prepared to perfection. Fantastic Sunday lunch (Pork Belly ), had kids portion as it was halfway through a days' walk, but still plenty to eat. A fantastic spot to stop for refreshment on a trek through the picturesque Arun valley
The food was delicious and location beautiful. It's worth noting that if you sit outside there's a really restricted menu - just a choice of three sandwiches. The service was a little chaotic and several of our group's orders were either forgotten or surprisingly late.
