Pub doesn't look that great from outside, but the food was very good. We were a very large group and all the food was delivered quickly, at the same time. Not one complaint about the food. Everyone enjoyed their food and would recommend as a good place for pub grub. Have the fudge cake to finish. So light! Good customer service too!

What a great place. We had this recommended to us and cant fault it. The service from the moment we arrived and were greeted at the bar to paying the bill and leaving was perfect. The place is light and airy and well laid out, the menu has some great dishes on it and everything looks tempting. We had the goats cheese, black pudding and cranberry jam along with the homemade pate to start, both top drawer. Followed by liver, bacon, onions and mash along with the fish pie for main, again hot tasty and good solid portions. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding with Cheshire farm honeycomb ice cream, for me and cheesecake for my wife, what's not to love! Prices are really sensible and everything is well worth the money, if you haven't been then go. Special mention for the very polite, courteous, friendly young man who served us, he is an absolute credit to the place.

My sister & I made a special trip from Oxford to eat here as our ancestors had owned the pub in the 1920's. Anne-Marie and Kirk were extremely kind and helpful and left us a book to read about our family history. We had a lovely meal, I had salmon and my sister had roast beef, both meals were delicious! All of the staff were so friendly and kind to us and we will definitely be back as soon as we can. Thank you again
