Stopped in “on spec” for a quick lunch during a visit to Halifax. This café is nice and light with a good choice of eating options. The girls serving were pleasant and efficient. The food is well priced and nicely presented. They also have a good selection of wine to purchase if you’d like to.

Poor customer service. Visited for lunch today with my elderly mum (who has been out 3 times since March due to self-isolating). She went to toilet and there was no hand towel. She politely told a member of staff who was extremely abrupt and rude. The staff member replied to my mum ‘well I cant sort that now...theres only 3 of us in and theres meant to be 6...it will have to wait’. Clearly they were rushed that day but she was very rude in her response. She only wanted to dry her hands! Cleanliness was not good due to understaffing. Will not return.

After having a really stressful day with my 1 year old on my own not finding anywhere to eat I found this place and the lady who served me was so lovely! the food was beautiful and the lady turned my day right around I was feeling really anxious and she just made me feel calm, definitely will be going again!
Very nice and helpful staff. Will happily amend the menu to provide vegan options which is good. Food always nice. Sometimes a bit busy. The shop downstairs is great for deli items and specialist alcohol. Good for gift shopping.
