The Frying Yorkshireman

Well not quite sure where Paul D went to give it one star, but it sure isnt here. We pass through regularly from our home in the Lakes when heading back to Lincolnshire to visit family and always stop to grab some fishcakes and fish amd chips and have never had a bad experience. Stopped tonight when it was damp and due to covid restrictions they were taking orders at the door and the great staff even brought our order out to us sat in the car. Service or what?! Cannot recommend The Frying Yorkshirman highly enough.. Anything that could make it better?,, Yeah... Open a branch in Kendal and it would be a weekly visit

Wow, what a find! My new favourite chippy! The large haddock and chips I had were top notch, with the batter just how I like it. The fish was so tasty and up there with the best I’ve ever had. Chips were very good and the curry sauce topped it off. Seating inside if you fancy it inside the restaurant part of it. If you’re in this part of the world defo head there!

Lovely fish & chips. Beautiful piece of fish in a light crispy batter, very tasty. Good portion sizes too. Especially loved the homemade tartar sauce.

If Carlsberg did chip shops... Wow just Wow. If I could give 10 starts I would....!! 7 of us had large Haddock and chips, all cooked fresh and we agree probably the best fish and chips we've ever tasted (well those who hadn't been there before!). The fish was massive in size, moist and very tasty. Staff where all very friendly, if your passing you have to stop. Shame there is nothing close to this near me here in the Midlands, and as it's a 3hr drive away from home

Not to my taste. But our friends enjoyed it. They are from Lancashire, we are from Yorkshire so probably different tastes. The c19 set up was excellent. They take both cash and card.
