Cod was amazing! Piping hot and lovely crispy batter even though I drowned it in vinegar! Chips were light and fluffy and not greasy. Big portion size too. Friendly staff too. Definitely come back here again.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! After having had fish and chips from here before my Hope's of satisfying my craving were dashed! The batter was thick and tasted like paste the sausage was way overcooked and the chips had been there a few days and refried, but the worst was the cod it tasted 'off' we spent 30 quid on dinner to have to throw it away and order pizza, FRYERS DELIGHT WHAT HAPPENED???? YOU USED TO DO NICE FOOD NOW ITS STUFF I WOULDN'T FEED TO MY DOG ITS SO BAD!!!
I am giving 5 star because it is really a good place and tasty food. Fish and chips were amazing! Great quality.
Back at end of October I placed an order for delivery after reading all the great reviews. Sadly I had one of the worst cod and chips ever. The cod and batter tasted really bad and the chips themselves had a funny stale taste. I now realise that they fry in beef dripping and maybe I do not like this frying method. However even the texture of the chips was not nice. They were very soggy and not at all appetising. I had to bin most of the meal.
Very very tasty cod and chips. Maybe even the best in the area.
