Very hot on covid precautions, and handled in very friendly and efficient manner. Staff are courteous, look after you very well. Food was excellent, generous portions and the vegetables were perfect. All in all, a terrific pub lunch, will be returning.

We were two families with kids yesterday for Saturday lunch. We ordered at 12.50 and got the food at 14.15. Too long waiting time especially with kids, none came to apologies or even suggest to give anything for the kids in the meantime and we had to ask multiple times an update. In the end they offered to bring a small bread after more than one hour. There is a one way system for Covid and a one in/one out at the toilet that is good. However only half of the waiters where using masks and I am sure very likely none would have use it in the kitchen, that I found very odd....

Went to this pub for a evening meal with my family and the table next to us had a metal sign fall on a customers head, regardless of this the staff showed no consideration and neither helped or offered anything to say sorry for this incident. Later on in the evening the family made a complaint and the owner came out in a very rude and aggressive manner refusing any compensation or reduction to the what sounded like a large bill, after the owner had found out the customer that had been injured and had a history of brain injury’s he just got more aggressive for example shouting and swearing at a family with what seemed to have children underage. Would not recommend this experience to anyone.

Lovely little country side pub with an excellent range of meals. A perfect place for a relaxed Sunday lunch or after a hike. Note: they request that boots are removed at the entrance.
