The Fox and Hounds is a picturesque pub visible from the A34 just outside Newbury. I have driven passed it many times and thought we must stop for a drink and some lunch. A few days back we actually did it and were not disappointment. The food was delicious and plentiful with excellent and pleasant service. Totally recommend this pub. So don't just view as you pass on the A34, pay it a visit, you will defiantly enjoy.
A lovely place close to home. Friendly staff and great food, the pie of the day (Chicken and Chorizo) was excellent and extremely filling. Gluten free options also available so you don't miss out on a good burger! Will certainly return!
Lovely pub with a great country feel. Staff were very friendly and squeezed us in despite us having not booked. The menu is very well priced and food sourced from a local butchers. I highly recommend the beef roast dinner! 10/10 will be back but next time we'll definitely book and recommend anyone else who fancies a visit do so too.
Surroundings, food & people were all lovely! Definitely be returning.
