Lovely independent pub that is near The Lanes but is a quiet gem. I had a Sunday roast - the lamb. Oh my goodness. It's huge with the most wonderful roast potatoes. For me the red cabbage was to die for. Generous quantities of meat, roast potatoes, vegetables (and a side order of cauliflower cheese & leeks with cream) and of course Yorkshire pudding. It took me some time to wade through it. All washed down with a very lovely Rioja. They don't do puddings because you don't have the room. Eat first, meander later to walk it off! A real hidden delight.

We ordered a roast on Uber Eats and it was by far the best roast we've had. The food was piping hot when it arrived and every item was just so tasty. Can't recommend enough!
