Friendly service, and very seasonal menu. Enjoyed Sunday roast. The beef is great quality and cooked well. I wish I could say the same for the vegetables came with it. Roast vegetables were not parboiled, and very hard. But the Yorkshire was lovely. Tables are large, and well spaced. The dining room is airy and has log fire.
Very welcoming staff and delicious food BUT be warned, not really operating as a pub at the moment as you will only be seated/served if you are eating. So a lovely hike through the countryside followed by a swift half or nice glass of something cold is not going to happen! Hopefully they'll be back serving drinkers again very soon.
Great mix of meat and seafood dishes, the later of which we all picked and had no disappointments. Second visit in 2 years and food remains very high standard and staff very friendly and helpful. Good wines selection by the bottle and glass although could be broader bottle choices (please?)! Keep up the good work. Thanks
