Superb produce provided by a wonderfully friendly team! For my birthday weekend (covid has meant that a birthday celebration becomes celebrationssssss) we had scallops on celeriac puree accompanied by savoy cabbage and bacon. The scallops were fresher than fresh and ginormous! Birthday dinner No.2 was tiger prawns in garlic butter, parsley, lemon and warm stone baked baguette. Needless to say that the stunning flavour from these prawns infused the garlic butter and made a perfect sauce to dunk the baguette in. DECADENT! Thank you to this great local fishmonger for such quality produce. Will be sure to visit you again soon!

Is it normal for the staff at this fishmonger shop to handle fish with no gloves, ie BARE hands?? To my surprise, the man simply replied yes to me. One can only imagine where else those hands had been beforehand. Even if you are yet to cook it - would you really buy fillets, bare scallops, squid etc handled so unhygienically?

I am so lucky to have this gem of a fishmongers nearby. A great deal to choose from with different fish on a daily basis and the service is friendly and knowledgeable. If you need any advice just ask and they even fillet/prepare the fish if needed. Beats any supermarket

Friendly service and excellent produce. Missing restaurants during lockdown, I cooked some magnificent mussels from the fishmongers kitchen on Friday and I feel restored. Thanks!
