Quite possibly the best steak and ale pie I've ever had! Generously packed with tender meat in a rich rosemary gravy with pastry lid *and* base (a rarity these days!) The fish finger baguette was buttery and fresh and was a generous portion. The sausage and mash was exceptional, the gravy was fantastically rich and the accompanying veg were cooked to perfection. All this *and* friendly staff in a lovely coastal setting. A hidden gem in Plymouth!

This pub has changed hands for the better, since I was last there. I did not eat here, more fool me! Everyone who had eaten, had nothing but praise. Staff really on the ball, make me feel at ease, from the moment I I entered. A proper pub & proper craic 100%

Great pub with lovely food, beer and wine at a decent price. Really nice locally brewed ale for roughly 3.60 pint. Brilliant bar staff and waiters who gave us complementary drinks for a slight delay with our food. Would recommend but definitely book in advance

A charming little pub with an open fire and centuries of history. Off the beaten track, welcoming dogs and humans alike. Delicious food and attentive but related service.

Bleedy lovely. Fabulous Sunday lunch. Good service and nice ale. Shame they had run out of fruit crumble, but the cheesecake and lemon roulade were excellent substitutes. And the pub was busy with a lovely atmosphere.
