The best fish and chips around! Give them a try. The fish is so fresh and beautifully battered. Full marks The Fish Bank.(Certainly a thousand times better than Sherburn's alternative).

I was looking at a job in Sherburn and knowing The Fish Bank was open, decided to give it a go. I hadn't had anything from a #Fish n #Chip shop in a very, VERY long time. Walked in, couldn't decided what I wanted, so opted for a fish butty. When it was ready, it was placed on the counter in front of me, I thought I'd landed in a scene from #Jaws! The fish was that big, if it still had a pulse, I'd have feared for my life!! Banged on the salt and vinegar, it'd be rude not to, and took a bite, very fresh tasting fish, nice batter and left nothing, well, I didn't eat the box it came in Although, I felt like Captain Quint, finishing it was a battle, no fish was gonna outsmart me!! Check the opening times before you go but definitely go!!
