Appreciate that we are in previously unprecedented times, but when you book a 2 hour slot you don't expect to be told that after 50 minutes you can't have anymore liquid refreshment until you have ordered your substantial meal, not sure this is part of the the UK Government requirements. Will not be returning!!!! Post response addition!! We were told we only had 2 hours, which was fair enough and fully understood during such times, however, we were not informed that this 2 hour allocation was conditional on having to order your food upon being seated (which for the record was not upheld by anyone else from what I recall). It would, however, of been nice to have been fully aware of the publicans rules and regulations before entering the Public House that is the Farmers Arms, Poynton!!!!!

A nice big juicy proper gamon steak with all the usual trimmings , though a couple of onion rings wouldn't of gone a miss. Very busy , even the tables in the carpark were full. Nice pub , not been before. Good service.

Well organised for tier 2. Good and fast service. Nice simple outside food. With a personal heater. We will be back in normal times.

Never been before went after a funeral plenty of room outside all sheltered and lit up were doing substantial meals outside for a tenner pints were just over 4.50 for lager and cider so pie and chips and a pint less than 15 quid not the cheapest but food was OK.Looks recently refurbished nice inside.Gents toilets were different not peed in a bucket for a long time

Came here for the food. What we got was a really nice pub meal. Served with all the modern panache that you could ask for, chopping board and all.
