Really friendly service and cosy atmosphere. Food was served very, very quickly. We'd barely started our starter when the mains were delivered but as it was just olives and bread we didn't mind too much. (Really fresh olives too, clearly not just poured out of a jar). The mains were delicious. Mine and my partner's steaks were cooked to perfection and my mother enjoyed the salmon fishcake. Desserts weren't quite as good as the mains but they were freshly made rather than defrosted which you get in a lot of restaurants these days. They have a good selection of wines. We went for the Argentinian Malbec which was perfect with the steak. All in all, would highly recommend and would definitely visit again. Thank you!
Firstly, the food was awesome. I have Dover sole and my husband had the duck. Couldn't fault it. Wine was super nice too. And, both reasonably priced. I was even able to take some red velvet cake home in a box for afters, as I was too full after my scrumptious feast for a pud. But, what made it really special; was the staffs accommodating social distancing in a friendly way. PLUS, when we couldn't get a local cab - two members of staff volunteered to take us to Ware. Zero fuss - genuine and friendly people. Thank you so much to Jose - who ended up taking us and the blonde manager type lady and I think the waitress, Sophie. Way above and beyond the call of duty. We will definitely be back and we'll book a car in advance next time :)
This was one of the most delicious meals I have had recently. The quality of the cooking was outstanding. The beef wellington was melt in the mouth with flaky, fantastic pastry. We were in the private room upstairs, a great place for a celebration or just a get together with friends. The service was great, super efficient and lots of smiles. A really wonderful experience. Thank you! Really looking forward to trying the Sunday roast.
We enjoyed a fantastic lunch here. Beautifully decorated, great atmosphere, delightful staff and delicious food. The team really have thought about everything and made our lunch very memorable. I would highly recommend the moules frite and we will definitely be returning.
